About the Opry...
The Royal Theater's "Texasville Opry" is still going strong and kicks off its thirteenth season in 2013. The Opry is a classic and traditional country and western music show styled after the best of Branson and what you might see at the Grand Old Opry in Nashville and has become a fan favorite and one of the best Opries in northern Texas and southern Oklahoma.The Texasville Opry has it all...great local talent singing your favorite classic and traditional country favorites, rock and roll, blues, gospel and Cowboy campfire songs, all backed by a full band with steel guitar, fiddle and keyboard. In addition, "Mama and Tator," the comedy act keeps the audience in stitches. Tickets to the Opry can be purchased online or by calling the Royal at (940) 574-2489. All seats for individual shows are $12.00 and season tickets can be purchased for $60 through the Royal's payment plan guaranteeing patrons their choice of preferred seating throughout the season without having to wait in line or call for tickets every show. Most Opries are sold out prior to the show, so advance purchases are always recommended. Doors open at 6:00 pm and the show starts at 7:00 pm.
